✨🌈 Colour is a deep and mysterious language. But nature is genius.

As more foods become in season this spring season (like red onions, strawberries, beets, carrots and squash), it should be an exciting time to incorporate colours into your cooking and plating.

If you haven't heard about it already, there's a diet called "The Rainbow Diet." It's essentially a holistic way of eating to nourish the whole self: body, mind, and spirit. The ideal situation is to incorporate 30 or more different coloured fruit and vegetables every week. To keep it simple, the colour of the fruits & vegetables you eat corresponds to particular health and wellness benefits. I've noticed that colours stimulate visual cues that enhance my mood and energy 🤗

To most, thirty seems like an overwhelming number. I think so, too. But I truly appreciate the idea and personally incorporate as many colours gifted by nature to my everyday meals. How I plan, cook and plate my meals need to have an essence of colour. Coming a long way from developing a positive relationship with food, I find #colourtherapy calming, exciting and overall fascinating.

One of my favourite skin nutrition catch-phrases is "EAT YOUR WATER."

Now, I'm saying "EAT THE RAINBOW."

You can also eat 🌈 colourful foods that have high 💧 water content!
