preserving a sweet pink white plumeria flower hours before my flight back to Toronto.

i didn’t bring a notebook with me (which is where i normally press my flowers in). but i did have a clean tissue in my purse.

i carefully pressed & positioned the flower in place, making sure it and the tissue were flat as possible. i tried my best to keep it secured in my carry on bag.

right when i arrived home, I carefully unfolded the tissue to see if the flower was still pressed flat. I delicately fixed the petals.

immediately after, keeping the flower in the tissue, I placed it under a weight to allow the flower to continue to preserve (aka dry up in the tissue).

as you see, that is the result exactly 1 week later ✨😍✨

🌋 you’ll see 2 things in the distance : a flat naked land + a pointy shadow-like mountain.

I learned that Volcano Taal erupted from that flat bare land, known as the small but mighty crater. that area used to be so lush with life and flourishing vegetation. after the eruption, you can see, as I call it, is still “recovering”.
