If you got shrimp, smoked paprika, and pasta laying around in your kitchen, you can make this simple yet uber-delicious meal in under 30 minutes.

Another shrimp recipe idea you're going to love!

Prep time: 2 mins
Cook time: 20 mins
INGREDIENTS:
1 pack cooked & peeled shrimp (I used this one)
1.5 cup pasta (I used Rizopia Brown Rice Elbow Pasta)
1 Tbsp smoked paprika (I have this one)
2 red onions, diced (yellow ones work)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt (more if needed)
cooking oil (I like using light olive oil)
optional:
cayenne powder
lemon slices
dried parsley flakes
Instructions:
1) Boil pasta with a bit of salt. Drain and drizzle with olive oil. Set aside.
2) In another pot, boil and cook shrimp. Drain. Set aside.
3) In a pan, sautee onions and garlic until onions turn translucent (almost clear) and garlic is toasted.
4) Pour in water, smoked paprika, salt, pepper and tapioca starch. Combine well and cook for 1 minute.
5) Toss in cooked pasta. Cook for 1 minute. Transfer to a large serving bowl.
6) If there is some pasta sauce leftover in the pan, toss in the cooked shrimp and coat as much as you can.
7) Layer the cooked shrimp on the pasta. Enjoy while hot!

Darlene's Notes & Tips:
⭐️ If you like a little kick in your pasta, you can add 1/8 to 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper powder. A little goes a long way with cayenne. So start small when adding it in.
⭐️ I also find that adding freshly squeezed lemon juice suits this pasta dish very well.
⭐️ To limit dishwashing, you can cook the frozen shrimp and pasta at the same time in the same bowl. The shrimp will cook faster than the pasta, so remove it when ready.
